Draco glanced between them before giving a small huff of laughter.

Mira blinked.

Draco shrugged awkwardly, suddenly uncomfortable with his own honesty.

“You notice things other people ignore,” he muttered. “You actually care whether people get left behind.”

He gestured vaguely toward the letters.

A tiny smile finally appeared on Mira’s face.

Snape’s lips twitched very slightly.

“A truly horrifying talent,” he said dryly.

Draco smirked.

“Absolutely terrifying.”

Pip chose that exact moment to roll off the blanket pile with a squeak.

Briony immediately jumped after him.

Mira laughed softly as both Nifflers scrambled dramatically across the carpet.
