The security guard stared at it longer than necessary.

The projector changed.

The name was completely blacked out.

As though the system itself refused to display it.

Amara stared at the screen.

The lights flickered.

White text appeared across every screen.

The lights flickered again.

Another message appeared.

Every screen shattered at once.

Glass exploded across the conference table.

The room plunged into darkness.

Outside...

Somewhere deep beneath the building...

Hidden behind reinforced steel doors...

An old server that had supposedly been shut down months ago...

Powered itself on.

A single green light blinked.

Once.

Twice.

Then a calm synthetic voice echoed through the empty chamber.
